Ale Torriggino is a musician and singer-songwriter from Argentina.
Known for his soulful vocals and smart lyrics, Torriggino’s sound is infused with a wide spectrum of American and British music, such as the Blues, folk, rock, and soul. His influences go from legends like Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Elvis Presley, Pink Floyd and Mark Knopfler to modern songwriters like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr. and Ryan Adams.
Ale self-released his debut album entitled Sureste in 2016, via indie label River Flow Records. The album was produced and mixed by producer Gonzalo Esteybar. Sureste gained positives reviews from music blogs worldwide, like AllAboutJazz.com, who called it an album fraught with heartache and reflection.
Ale released his follow-up album Blue Light on June 19, 2017, also via River Flow Records. Enlisting local and international musicians, this new effort features a predominant bluesy guitar and rocking vocals from Torriggino, widening his range but staying true to his long-time influences. The theme of hope is evident on tracks like Grey Sky Blues and The Color Life while songs like Catherine and Shelter proclaims that joy in life that one can only reach after a long period of darkness.
As Ale sings on the album’s opening track, The Healer, he eloquently states the subtle theme that music is our power, hope and ultimate salvation.
